Welcome to In the Shadow's Keep

One is the son of the Angel of the Abyss, cursed with shadow abilities he can barely control.
The other is an easy-going medic, wandering the country with no real goal in mind. Lumien
and Jarrah meet quite by accident and in many ways couldn't be more different from each
other. Yet somehow - amid an endless string of pursuers, emotional barriers, and elemental
clashes - the two form a strong bond.

Most would call it quits after the first encounter with the perverted madman intent on
keeping Lumien "broken." So one has to wonder how long the two men can cope before
someone loses his sanity...

NOTE: Storyline adopts a shounen-ai theme later on. NOW IN FULL COLOR!! Reads left to right.

Going on hiatus for a while...

For a couple reasons. For starters, my co-author has disappeared. She's been MIA since February and I haven't heard a word. Besides that, another comic project is taking precedence right now - one that actually pays to get it done. So I'm going to be focusing on that one for a while. In the Shadow's Keep is gonna go on the back burner for a bit. Dunno when I'll start working on it again, but I most certainly will not abandon it. Jarrah and Lumien's story is too awesome to not finish. It just might take a while.

And I'll probably be restarting it again, anyhow... I don't think I started it in quite the right spot, and it doesn't help the guys are turning out looking younger than they should. And I have learned a few more tricks about toning, so I wanna try doing this in black and white again. It'll probably be a few months before I get to working on ITSK again...sorry for making everybody wait! >.<

Yeah, I know, I'm way behind...

Part of it is because my computer ate the file for a full-page picture that I was almost finished with and now I have to redo the whole damn thing. Terrible motivational killer...especially since I'm not a speed-artist like some people...

But I'm also working on several remodeling projects around the house. So for the next couple months, updates are likely to be sporatic and delayed. Don't go thinking I've abandoned the comic if I don't update for a month - no way! I'm just busy.

I ain't dead yet! XD

But I should have known better than to start a web comic right at the start of busy season at work... *smacks self*

Anyhoo, I'm back to working on this thing, but it'll be a little while before there's a new page. I'm not enjoying working with black and white - you'd think it was easier and quicker than color, but NO - so I'm redoing the three pages I've done. From now on the comic will be in full color. That means more time between updates, but that also means the pictures will look nicer than they have been.

So please be patient and bear with me. The title page has been redone, so I'm already a third caught up. :D I'll get them done as quick as I can so we can continue with the story!
